Bridge2Practice for Research

Bridge2Practice is an online perceptual voice rating platform that has applications across teaching, research and clinical use. A range of projects under the Doctor Liang Voice Program are currently seeking to apply Bridge2Practice in a research capacity to further knowledge pertaining to voice control and physiology, prevention of particular voice disorders and improved quality of care and management of these disorders.

Current and ongoing projects include:

• Examining the disorder bias of speech pathology voice experts as compared to students with limited or no clinical experience
• Comparing the reliability of acoustic signal typing on paper as compared to an online platform
• Development and refinement of an online laryngoscopy rating tool for speech pathologists and ear, nose andtThroat specialists
