The Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) is offering an online course covering the 'Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine' for physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and arts educators. Course content is delivered by international subject area experts (including A/Prof Cate Madill, Dr Liang Voice Program Director) and focuses on risk factors, life-span issues, and the interactive, cultural, and contextual distinctions of health problems that are unique to performing artists, highlighting specific opportunities and techniques for engagement, education, prevention and treatment. This content is tailored to the background of course participants and presented as four concurrent streams: physicians/allied health professionals; music educators; dance educators; vocal educators. Upon completion of an online series of lectures and an online exam, participants will receive a certificate of course completion.
