Dr Duy Duong Nguyen

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr Duong Duy Nguyen is an otolaryngologist who underwent his medical training at Hanoi Medical University in Vietnam. He then went on to further studies at The University of Sydney; completing his master by research in 2003 and PhD in 2009. Duong has 15 years' experience working across major hospitals in Vietnam, including the National Otorhinolaryngology Hospital.

With an extensive background of clinical expertise, Duong is currently undertaking a range of voice-related research projects as a Postdoctoral Research Associate within The University of Sydney's Doctor Liang Voice Program. His research interests combine both otolaryngology and speech pathology methods and include control and physiology of phonation, acoustic and physiologic assessment of voice, strobolaryngoscopic assessment, voice outcome measures, effects of angiolytic laser on the larynx, and early diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders.
